We welcome you to come and stay at our retired farmhouse set in breathtaking countryside. The tranquility will ensure you rest and relax during your stay.

We hope the information contained within this website is all that is required to enable you to make your decision to holiday in this beautiful historic area of france, THE VENDEE.

We have been living here for just a short time, after making a major life changing decision to move to France full time, after spending many fabulous holidays and travelling adventures "en France". We grow most of our own vegetables, salads & herbs in our large potager and keep free range chickens for their eggs.

Our Chambres d'Hôtes is set in the countryside, on the outskirts of the quiet little village of Cheffois away from the maddening crowds, but in close proximity to many places of interest around the area.

There is plenty of shopping to be had at both markets and shops at local villages and towns but significantly at the historic cosmopolitan port of La Rochelle.

The Atlantic Coast is approx 1 hour away, having spacious, uncrowded, clean beaches and major tourist resorts of Tranche & Faute sur mer.

With a climate that has an average of 20°c and 2500 hours of sunshine per year, giving the area mild temperatures all year round which makes visiting the Vendee an ideal choice for your out of season break. Check the weather by clicking here.

The area is a cyclists & walkers paradise having hundreds of kilometres of quiet country and dedicated cycle tracks and walking routes. The area also has many other sporting facilities including Tennis, Fishing and Equestrian pursuits all of which are quite nearby.

The Chambres d'Hôtes is ideally situated for a rest point on your journey further south along the Atlantic coast or for your journey home.

We are also perfectly placed for an extended break or as a base for house hunting in the area of the VENDEE, having ample off road secure parking facilities.
